The Opportunity
The Engineering Intern will assist the Global Product Management Team in conducting competitive research, analyzing portfolio data, assisting with engineering design, test and simulations and executing other tasks related to product development and product lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
Participate in product development and innovation projects
Develop working knowledge of engineering design tools and criteria
Actively collaborate with the Global Product Management Team, Global Engineering Team and Regional Sales Team and participate in the development of the product strategy and road map
Assist in the generation of documentation and training material relevant to various product families
Work with product engineers to aid in development of application tools for product design and quoting
Support the product management team in analyzing engineering and commercial data
Qualifications
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering at an accredited college or university
Strong Autodesk Inventor skillset
Have a strong desire to pursue engineering and/or business aspect of global product management or manufacturing
Is results oriented and proactive – able to get things done and achieve targets
Possess strong communication and presentation skills
Is proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Able to work in a team
