- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Capable of solving basic problems related to dishwashing equipment and cleanliness standards.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: *
- Perform dishwashing responsibilities, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Complete prep work as assigned by kitchen staff.
- Assemble, maintain, and break down the dishwashing machine in accordance with operational standards.
- Transport garbage and trash to designated dumpster areas and ensure proper disposal procedures.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors to maintain health and safety compliance.
- Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and Health Department regulations.
- Assist team members when needed to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned within the scope of the role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, cleaning chemicals, and noise.
- Frequent contact with water and slippery surfaces.
- May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 45 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, scrubbing, and handling equipment.
- Must be able to work in hot and humid conditions.
