Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS), addressing customer quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves managing quality metrics, leading inspection activities, qualifying suppliers, and promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including NCR, CAR, RCA, 8D, ECN, and internal audit processes.
Manage customer quality issues, complaints, and warranty claims, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop and track quality metrics and KPIs to monitor product, process, and supplier performance.
Lead inspection activities across supplier, receiving, in-process, and final inspection for fabricated sheet metal components.
Qualify, onboard, and develop suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and fabrication standards.
Support production through NCR management, quality training, and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and process inefficiencies in fabrication operations.
Promote a strong safety and quality culture throughout the manufacturing floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Preferred experience includes metal fabrication, welding, painting processes, SolidWorks, PDM/MRP/ERP systems, and drafting standards (ANSI Y14).
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
