This is a full-time position and open availibility is critical as you may be needed for morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Cedar Landing menu items, including meat-and-three plates, grilled items, seafood, vegetables, and casseroles.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before service.
- Follow established recipes and portion standards to maintain consistency.
- Ensure proper cooking temperatures and safe food handling at all times.
- Coordinate timing with other cooks so plates are completed together and delivered promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Assist with prep work such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing batters or sides.
- Communicate with the expediter and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Support buffet or lunch-bar setup when applicable (Cedar Landing frequently offers meat-and-veggie boards and lunch specials).
- Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines required in Alabama food service.
Salary:Pay is based on experience, but can increase based on good performance, higher experience
*Shift:* Day and Night shifts available.
Requirements:Experience preferred but not required.
