What are your contributions to the team?
Prepare aircraft and / or component parts by performing surface preparation tasks prior to application of primer and topcoat
Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
Perform surface preparation on aircraft and component parts
Install sealant and erosion tape
Apply primer and topcoat.
Layout aircraft to customer specifications.
Inspect, perform touch-up and polish painted surfaces for a finished appearance.
Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.
Perform paint matching and blending activities
Assist in training other employees
May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
May assist with moving aircraft into bay
Remove aircraft panels for inspection
Meet Customer Service objectives when ordering paint and tools
Meet internal customer needs in regards to planning work scope, job bids, facilitating work buy-backs
Perform other duties as assigned
How to thrive in this role?
Typically a minimum of three (3) years painting experience in aviation industry
A minimum of one year of artisan-level painting experience working on corporate aircraft.
Formal vocational training or equivalent
Basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials
Basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer
Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status •
Demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Demonstrated ability to effectively train other employees
Ability to multi-task and work with time constraints
Customer service / aviation work experience
Basic PC Skills
