Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies Training & Process Development Specialist in Windber, Pennsylvania
Job Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Training & Process Development Specialist to design, deliver, and maintain effective training programs and standardized workflows for our retail employees. This position will focus on creating practical, repeatable training and process documentation that improves onboarding, increases productivity, and ensures consistent customer experiences across all stores. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position the Specialist will spend significant time in the field observing workflows, creating training materials, and personally delivering training to employees and supervisors.
Qualifications The position of Training & Process Development Specialist requires a person capable of conforming to the high standards of behavior expected of all staff. Excellent work habits, including attendance and punctuality, are required. The person must follow company policies and safety procedures.
Education Bachelors degree in human resources, education, organizational development, or equivalent work experience. 2-4 years of experience in employee training, onboarding, or process documentation preferably in a retail or service environment. Demonstrated ability to create simple, easy-to-follow SOPs, checklists, and training materials. Experience facilitating small group and one-on-one training. Familiarity with basic training technologies or Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
Clearances Ability to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including but not limited to Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, and Department of Human Services- FBI Fingerprints.
Other Requirements Valid drivers license, with a clean driving record, and/or dependable transportation, which can be used for work.
Supervision Received: The Training & Process Development Specialist functions under the direct supervision of the President/CEO (or designee) and works in close collaboration with Retail Operations leadership. Exercised: None

Physical Demands - Frequent travel between retail store locations. - Extended time standing, walking sal
