*SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: *Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, certifications and driver requirements.

 *JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. The job specifications involve agricultural equipment operation and general farm labor for the purpose of preparing the farm's potato seed for spring planting season. This is a temporary need for employees during the planting season for the farm. •The potato seed needs to be unloaded, graded, sized, cut, treated, and suberized prior to planting. •This process involves operating conveyers, unloaders, bobcats, forklifts, seed treatment machines, and seed cutting machines. •Other responsibilities include sorting, sizing, and grading potatoes by hand, including sorting out green, rotten, or other low-quality potatoes as they pass on a conveyor. •Applying seed treatment to the potato seed. •Cleaning potato storage bins. •Notify supervisor of any potato quality issues. •Use bobcat to unload seed potatoes or to move them around the farm. •Find proper location for potatoes and use bobcat to move potatoes to its designated areas. •Ensure that all potatoes are placed in the right place and do not mix with one another. •Report any equipment repair needs to the supervisor. •Conduct basic repairs to seed preparation equipment. •Load potato seed into transport equipment. •Monitor seed while it is waiting to be planted. •Operate a standard class vehicle to pick-up or deliver parts to the field. •Operate a standard class vehicle to drive co-workers to/from work or for personal needs as required. •Report any issues to supervisor. •General site cleanup and general farm work is included as part of the position. •All tools will be provided at no cost.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

*WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: *Provided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
