Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team in Wilton, Connecticut. This Contract to permanent position offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals who excel in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable processes, including coding and processing invoices efficiently.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection.
• Perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Utilize QuickBooks to track and organize financial data effectively.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports as required.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation for review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes.
• Ability to code and process invoices with accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
