Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in WILSONVILLE, Oregon

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview

This role requires a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations by installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment within a manufacturing environment. The position operates with minimal supervision and may involve independent work or collaboration with a team to ensure equipment reliability, operational safety, and overall facility performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair assigned equipment with minimal oversight.

  • Use independent judgment within established guidelines to perform preventative maintenance and determine appropriate actions during equipment or facility issues.

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Troubleshoot furnace systems and related equipment using Siemens PLC controls.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent technical training in maintaining pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing semi‑automated or fully automated machinery.

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to observe, analyze, and interpret equipment issues and apply effective solutions.

  • Hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Proficient use of a digital multimeter (DMM) for diagnostic work.

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and adapt to changing tasks.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical coursework or training in industrial equipment engineering, maintenance, or troubleshooting from a trade school or technical program.

  • A combination of education, experience, and technical knowledge may substitute for up to 3 years of manufacturing or production‑related technical experience.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility.

  • Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm (swing shift).

  • Permanent Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 pm to 4:00 am (graveyard shift; final shift ends Saturday morning).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
