Are you a DevOps & Security Engineer with a background in engineering, scientific computing, or simulation software? We're hiring an experienced Engineer to join our M-Star team - a small, yet highly effective and efficient specialised team, who deliver world class computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to multiple industries including Life Sciences, Chemical Material, and Industrial. M-Star is modern CFD software that provides first-principles modeling tools for scientists and engineers, generating predictions that are functionally indistinguishable from measured data ( https://mstarcfd.com/).
As our DevOps and Security Engineer you'll maintain and enhance our cloud-based infrastructure. This is a multifaceted role that combines DevOps, AWS-based deployment, and IT Security. You'll manage deployed DevOps systems in the cloud and will spearhead our ISO 27001 effort whilst maintaining compliance with corporate security requirements.
If you are a leader in your field (within IT Infrastructure or Software Development), a team member who makes important product decisions regarding direction and scope, and would be comfortable acting as the single point for engineering within M-Star then we'd love to hear from you!
You'll make a difference by:
Maintaining and operating the software build server and continuous integration pipelines for cross-platform desktop and HPC applications.
Managing release processes and versioned software distribution.
Maintaining AWS-based software distribution and business operations systems.
Leading IT security related efforts such as ISO 27001 and corporate security implementations.
Manage and configure AWS services, including; EC2, RDS, S3, ECR, IAM, WAF, CloudFront, CloudTrail, Security Lake.
Ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
Supporting operational tooling across AWS and other cloud providers.
Administrator for a diverse set of services (Office, AWS, GitHub, Mailchimp, etc).
Your success is grounded in:
AWS Infrastructure expertise.
C++ and Python development background
Advanced CI/CD, build systems skills.
Knowledge of IT Security best practices, ISO 27001 requirements.
