CBRE Project Manager-Life Sciences Facility MEP Infrastructure in Wilson, North Carolina
Aboutthe role
TheProject Manager is responsible for providing consulting services to our lifesciences client account to help achieve the company's strategic businessobjectives. Focus on mechanical and utilities projects applied to industrialpharmaceutical facility systems including chilled water, compressed air, HVAC,steam, and system controls.
Thisjob is part of the Project Management function and responsible for themanagement of projects from initiation through completion. Role offers a 3/2hybrid schedule but may require an onsite presence up to 5 days/week inZebulon, NC.
Whatyou’ll do
Manageall areas of project management for commercial real estate projects. Thisincludes planning, design, construction, commissioning / validation of GxPsystems and facilities, and closeout.
Interactdirectly with clients to prepare all elements of the project, including thescope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates &budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and riskidentification.
Definethe project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the projectqualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bidevaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
Implementproject documentation governance that is aligned with company and clientrequirements.
Ensureproject data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
Directthe project team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
Buildaction plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress ofeach project and report status and variances.
Demonstrateability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingencyplans. Implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Mentorothers and share in-depth knowledge of your job subject area and broadunderstanding of several job fields within the function.
Leadby example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect,Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Work to build consensus and convinceothers to reach an agreement.
Whatyou’ll need
Applicantsmust be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need forvisa sponsorship now or in the future
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
General knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices and the ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project). SAP CMMS experience is a plus.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information with a willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and persuasion skills along all levels of project delivery.
