The Financial Systems Support Manager is responsible for providing operational direction and leadership related to financial systems. The Financial Systems Support Manager provides supervision and leadership in the development, maintenance, accuracy and ongoing operation of complex and heavily integrated financial systems and technologies in support of multiple business units. These systems include but are not limited to: SAP General Ledger, SAP Subledger (Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets/Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable), SAP Business Warehouse, SAP ARIBA, SAP Concur, SAP Fieldglass, Legal Matter and Expense Management, Real Estate Management, Master Data Management, Oracle Hyperion and Oracle Data Relationship Management.

The BlackLine Reconciliation System Manager is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of the BlackLine reconciliation platform in support of Truist’s Corporate Reconciliation function. This role leads the BlackLine administration team, ensures stable and compliant system operations, and drives process improvements and efficiencies across reconciliation activities. The manager serves as Truist’s primary liaison with BlackLine.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead the BlackLine administration team providing day‑to‑day system support for the Corporate Reconciliation organization.
Ensure the effective operation, configuration, and ongoing support of the BlackLine platform, enabling timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
Partner with Corporate Accounting and Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective BlackLine solutions.
Identify and implement system enhancements, automation, and process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve user experience.
Oversee BlackLine system administration, including account and reconciliation setup, templates, business rules, reporting, and user access management.
Monitor system performance, reconciliation metrics, and control indicators to proactively identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Serve as Truist’s primary point of contact with BlackLine, managing vendor relationships, support engagements, escalations, and roadmap discussions.
Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of BlackLine upgrades and new functionality.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards related to reconciliations and system access.
Maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials to support consistent and compliant platform use.
Leadership & Collaboration
Develop, coach, and manage the BlackLine administration team, promoting accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Financial Systems, Technology, Risk, and Audit partners to ensure BlackLine aligns with Truist’s broader control and systems environment.
Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on BlackLine capabilities, best practices, and optimization opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent education and related training.
Ten years of relevant finance systems experience, preferably in the banking industry.
Five years in an environment using integrated platforms, integrated data and governance platforms.
Five years of leadership and supervisory experience.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to define problems and persuasively present conclusions Intelligent, strong and decisive leadership within an organization as a result of high integrity, intellectual clarity and a passion for excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
