Description HVAC Project Specialist This position will be responsible for every facet of HVAC work performed by LGS on Wilmington Air Park. Day-to-day maintenance and repairs, new equipment installation, small- and large-scale equipment projects, whether done in house or contracted out. Working within budgetary constraints. Completing an equipment profile list and keeping it up to date. Maintain a working knowledge of regulations and laws that affect the operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment up to and including roof top package units, mini split systems, boilers, air compressors, chillers, and other pertinent equipment. Gas line distribution systems. Essential Functions Manage and oversee all aspects of HVAC work from day-to-day maintenance to large-scale new equipment installations. This position will also be hands-on HVAC technician. Participate in planning for new equipment, system upgrades, and department needs. Cost estimation and cost control contribute to revenue growth. Develop extended plan for replacement of equipment. Lead the team of HVAC Technicians balancing technical expertise with strong leadership skills and business management. Customer relations Serve as the point of contact for HVAC related work Ensure all work meets quality and industry standards. * Keep up on knowledge of industry trends, standards, laws, laws, and regulations that impact the business and company. Required Skills Degree or Professional HVAC certification. EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant; license. Type 1,2,3, certification. Experience a minimum of 5 years in the HVAC field. Travel up to 10% may be required. Preferred Job Skills Heavy equipment operation. Job quoting experience. Oversight of replacement of HVAC system.
