Novant Health Logistics Services Coordinator in Wilmington, North Carolina
What We Offer
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the MIH vehicle equipment and stations, located in multiple counties, are in a constant state of readiness and that adequate spares, equipment, tools and supplies are available/on-hand to successfully complete the Division’s mission. Maintains documentation/records pertaining to equipment, radios, IT equipment medical and station supplies and validates cost effective purchases. Works closely with the Manager Support Services to ensure proper compliance with all matters relating to medical equipment, ambulance/medical supplies, station operations, purchasing of equipment, supplies, uniforms, etc. Participates in strategic, long range planning to develop division goals, management philosophy, policy development, and resource utilization to provide effective services to the community. Also responsible for vendor interactions, distribution of supplies as needed, and inventory control. Explores and recommends new products based upon industry innovations. Maintains budget and cost-effective purchasing responsibility for section.
What We're Looking For
Education: High School or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree,preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Management, Supply Chain, or Revenue Cycle Management, or EMS Management, Public Administration, EM or related fields preferred.
Experience: Five years, preferred. logistics, plant operations or supply chain experience or a combination of 5 years of Public safety, military, or relevant trade school experience.
Licensure/Certification: (required)
Current and valid North Carolina EMT, AEMT or EMT-P certification.
BLS/CPR certification.
Current and valid North Carolina Class C driver’s license. Must meet general hospital driving requirements.
APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) by Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) within 2 years of hire date.
Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Certification (CSCP) Preferred.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required): MS Office competency required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred):
Ability to operate a variety of computer hardware/software applications preferred.
Knowledge about emergency medical equipment specifications, preventative maintenance schedules, supply chain management, budgets and pricing structures/contract negotiations are also preferred.
