About the role

Cognizant’s Engineering practice is seeking a Full stack cloud engineer which will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining software solutions that align with business objectives. You will leverage your expertise in AWS, SQL, React Native, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, microservices, and MySQL to deliver high-quality applications. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s growth and innovation in the tech industry.

In this role, you will:

· Develop and maintain robust software applications using Java JavaScript and Spring Boot to ensure high performance and scalability.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for efficient software development.

· Implement and optimize database solutions using SQL and MySQL to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

· Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment ensuring reliability and security.

· Design user interfaces with React Native to create seamless and intuitive user experiences across various platforms.

· Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality and maintainability.

· Troubleshoot and resolve software defects to ensure smooth functionality and user satisfaction.

· Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster professional growth and development.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align software solutions with organizational goals.

· Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in software development to maintain high-quality deliverables.

· Participate in agile development processes to ensure timely delivery of projects and adaptability to changing requirements.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies to enhance team productivity.

Work model: Onsite.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Wilmington, DE or Columbus, OH .

What you need to have to be considered:

· 6+ years of relevant experience.

· Demonstrated expertise in AWS, SQL, React Native, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues efficiently.

· Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience in agile methodologies and a strong understanding of software development life cycle.

· Proficiency in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.

· Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
