We are seeking an energetic and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Human Resources. In this vital role, you will lead all aspects of human resources management, fostering a positive workplace culture (over 400 staff), ensuring compliance with employment laws, maintain and implement policies and driving talent development initiatives. Your leadership will empower our team to deliver exceptional care and support to those we serve.
Starting Pay: $62,000
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance. Develop and lead organization in best practices in all areas of H.R. in compliance with DODD requirements.
- Oversee the hiring and onboarding of all new hires.
- Administer leaves of absence, employee status changes, Worker's Compensation and unemployment claims.
- Serves as HR liaison for Labor Management Relations and Union negotiations.
- Coordinate and oversee the operations/reporting for OSHA, BLS, NLRB and EEO-1.
- Oversee complaints, investigations (including DOL, OCRC, EEOC, NLRB, TWP), grievance resolution & disciplinary action at suspension level or above (including last chance agreements or terminations).
- Consult legal counsel to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
- Develop/revise HR policies as needed.
- Work with all levels of LHM staff and partners to create and promote a positive employee experience and culture of team work in a fast-paced work environment in pursuit of quality and compassionate care for those served by LHM.
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree in human resources or related business/healthcare field.
- Minimum of five years of progressive management experience in Human Resources or closely aligned field.
- Flexibility of scheduling if needed to provide necessary direction and support.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills capable of planning, initiating and leading to the successful accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives.
- Computer skills and past HRIS experience (PayCom preferred) to meet organizational needs.
- Genuine interest in working with and in the presence of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
