Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Direct Hire | 1st Shift
Shift & Schedule (First Shift Only)
Direct placement – no contract or temp‑to‑hire
1st Shift openings
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (overtime available and occasionally required)
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with flexible start/end times (+/‑ 30 minutes)
Employees report to the Quality Manager for their assigned division
Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Inspector for a direct‑hire, first‑shift opportunity supporting high‑reliability cable and wire harness manufacturing. This role is responsible for incoming, in‑process, and final inspections in compliance with IPC/WHMA standards, preparation of First Article documentation, and support of electrical testing activities. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, quality‑driven, and comfortable working with precision tools and detailed specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and manufacturing instructions
Inspect complex cable and wire harness assemblies using visual magnification tools and calibrated precision instruments
Prepare and complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and related quality documentation
Conduct electrical testing on cables and harnesses to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Accurately document inspection results using Microsoft Office tools
Support the QC Testing Team as needed to meet production schedules
Maintain compliance with IPC/WHMA, ISO 9001, and AS9100 quality requirements
Inspection Tools & Equipment
Calipers, micrometers, rulers
Torque wrenches, force gauges, goniometers
Visual magnification devices and other calibrated inspection equipment
Required Skills
Strong visual inspection and attention‑to‑detail skills
Proficiency using calipers and micrometers
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions
Experience with quality inspection and testing validation
Familiarity with J‑STD standards and ISO 9001
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in cable/wire harness assembly and quality inspection
Preferred Qualifications
WHMA/IPC‑A‑620 Certification (required or must be obtained)
Experience with ESD controls and fiber optic termination
Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Systems
U.S. Citizenship required due to Naval contractual agreements
