M&T Bank Commercial Service Supervisor in Williamsville, New York

Overview:

Supervise commercial support activities of a service team at one of multiple locations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provide operational, technical and functional expertise in work policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a champion for the partnership between the respective Commercial Support Teams within the regions and those more centrally located.

  • Supervise a large commercial support team, possibly at multiple locations. Ensure that assigned commercial support team is performing assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Make recommendations for improving processes and procedures that will result in risk mitigation, time savings, cost reduction, or an improvement in customer satisfaction.

  • Proactively document unwritten procedures and collaborate with Procedures Manager.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for the commercial support team.

  • Provide advice and guidance to commercial support team regarding workload prioritization, procedures, risk avoidance, personnel issues, and problem customer situations.

  • Partnering with the COM, manage and troubleshoot problem situations.

  • Responsible for performance management, employee development, employee engagement, and disciplinary action for assigned commercial support team.

  • Supervise and make recommendations to streamline ad hoc data collection requests.

  • Assist in the development of new service or credit support review process as needed.

  • Develop relationship with internal partners throughout the bank. Partner on the development of materials for new initiatives when possible.

  • Responsible for partnering with line management to understand needs and ensure that the commercial support team is effectively and efficiently meeting them.

  • Represent the team in the communication of concerns to partners and line management.

  • Exercises supervisory authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and employee relations matters.

  • Serve as an ambassador for the Commercial Service Team and M&T Bank by developing and maintaining strong internal and external partnerships.

  • Possible travel to perform work duties and for training and special projects.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 year customer service or operations experience in Banking or in lieu of degree a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or experience including customer service or operations experience in Banking.

2 years supervisory experience, including mentoring & coaching

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $62,200.00 - $103,600.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
