Overview
Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Job Location: Williamsport, PA
Manages, leads, plans, and coordinates a manufacturing operation to ensure product deliveries within scheduling and budgetary constraints according to Company standards and customer requirements, meeting product, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. This classification is used for incumbents with responsibility for a manufacturing product line that is producing products of moderate complexity.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing operations such as High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) assembly, testing of Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs), integration and testing of Microwave Power Modules (MPMs). May also have responsibility for product line engineering laboratories and program controls.
Manages the interface between program/project management and production operations to ensure performance on all statements of work requirements.
Control costs through the effective use of labor, equipment, space, and materials to meet present or planned manufacturing requirements.
Executes manufacturing schedules in accordance with acceptable standards for quality and cost controls as required by Company and customer specifications.
Analyzes yield rates, production schedules, and process methods to determine most appropriate methods to be used.
Develop standards of measurement and a reporting system to inform Company and program management of accomplishments related to plan.
Responsible for developing new manufacturing technologies, preparing estimates for tooling, shipping, hours, gages, packaging, and other costs.
Organize work and provide proper selection, training, appraisal, and motivation of direct reports.
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
An associate’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
3 -5 years of experience in production operations including production, production planning, processing, fabrication, assembly, production test, and materials
Comprehensive understanding of:
ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
Foreign Object Debris (FOD) programs.
J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC-620 and relative manufacturing standards.
High Voltage and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
