UPMC Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (LPN) - Pine St. in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
UPMC is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient office on Pine Street. This is an all-inclusive Primary Care office with both Family Medicine & Pediatric providers. The position we are hiring for is primarily Monday-Friday, with Saturday mornings covered on a rotation by all office staff. A typical M-F work week consists of 4 day shifts (as scheduled between 7:00am - 5:00pm) and 1 evening shift (10:30am - 7:00pm). When scheduled to cover Saturday morning (4hrs: 8:00am - 12:00pm), staff have a half day another day that week.

$5,000.00 - 2 year Commitment | 0-1 years experience & recent graduates
$7,500.00 - 2 year Commitment | 1+ years experience
Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.
Responsibilities:
Draw blood.
Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
Comply with all policies and procedures.
Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
Current Pennsylvania nursing license, or a multistate license issued by an NLC‑participating state. Employees working on an out‑of‑state NLC license who later establish residency in Pennsylvania must apply for a PA Nursing license within 60 days of their residency change.
