Position Overview

Steve Waldman Electric, Inc. is under new management and is a locally owned and operated electrical contractor seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. This position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in primarily commercial facilities. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Install complete electrical services and equipment such as load centers, panelboards, breakers, branch feeder wiring in various conduits or cables, lighting fixtures and controls, receptacles, and associated equipment
• Perform service upgrades and remodel/renovation electrical work
• Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local and Pennsylvania electrical codes
• Diagnose electrical issues and provide feedback to arrive at effective solutions to correct
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (attics, crawlspaces, ladders, lifts, bucket truck)

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of three-phase systems and familiarity with medium-voltage systems
• Ability to work comfortably with energized circuits (up to 600V)
• Ability to work comfortably with energized circuits (up to 240V) from a bucket truck or extension ladder
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
