Warehouse Administrator
Job Description
The Warehouse Administrator supports smooth warehouse operations by managing administrative tasks, coordinating communication between leadership and the warehouse team, and maintaining accurate reports and records. This role focuses on data entry, report generation, and email management, while ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are tracked and discrepancies are highlighted to support informed decision-making. The Warehouse Administrator also upholds health and safety standards and represents the department in a professional and positive manner.
Responsibilities
Handle administrative requests and inquiries from managers, supervisors, and team leaders to support efficient warehouse operations.
Generate reports to manage KPIs and produce specific reports, including identifying and documenting discrepancies within the department.
Maintain and manage daily departmental reports to ensure accurate and up-to-date operational information.
Monitor and respond to incoming emails in a timely and professional manner to support effective communication and workflow.
Perform accurate data entry for inventory, shipping, receiving, and other warehouse-related records.
Support inventory processes by updating records and assisting with documentation to help maintain accurate stock levels.
Assist with logistics and shipping and receiving documentation to help ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.
Use Microsoft Office, including Excel and other applications, to create, update, and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and administrative documents.
Provide professional customer service and internal support, addressing questions and resolving issues related to warehouse administration.
Project a positive and professional image of the department at all times when interacting with internal teams and external contacts.
Undertake additional duties and tasks as reasonably requested by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the wider team.
Adhere to stated health and safety policies and procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse administration experience.
Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with inventory-related administrative tasks in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong customer service skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
Administrative assistance experience within an operations, warehouse, or logistics setting.
Knowledge of logistics processes sufficient to support shipping, receiving, and related documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and especially Excel, to handle reports and administrative tasks.
Ability to generate and manage reports, including KPI tracking and discrepancy reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Consistent attention to detail to ensure accurate records and smooth operations.
Ability to follow established health and safety policies and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with shipping and receiving documentation in a warehouse environment.
Prior experience supporting supervisors, managers, or team leaders with administrative tasks.
Comfort working with email and digital communication tools to manage high volumes of messages.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and undertake additional duties as requested by management.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and help resolve discrepancies in reports and inventory data.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
