Geisinger Echocardiography Technologist - Pediatrics - Per Diem in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Job Summary
Participates in a variety of technical duties necessary to secure and process echocardiograms. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Job Duties
Performs and processes echocardiograms.
Performs emergency echocardiograms, when necessary.
Transports equipment to patient's bedside, as required.
Assists in Transesophageal echocardiogram support in the OR; Cardiac Cath Lab; outpatient, or inpatient setting.
Participates in call coverage for nights and weekend.
Enters patient data, utilizing the electronic medical record for documentation.
Assists in technical instruction of echocardiography, as necessary, for nurses, residents, fellows, nursing students, etc.
Maintains current knowledge of echocardiography technology.
Reviews current articles and attends conferences as required by the supervisor.
Travels to staff outreach sites and performs echos and EKG's, as required.
