Job Duties

Prepares food for service with the Banquet operations, sets up the cooking line, and prepares food for a variety of banquet functions. Must follow all written and established recipes and prepare food according to established standards. Responsible to maintain clean and sanitary work areas, and to clean food prep areas after meal period. Teaches, trains and assists the other cooks that may cross over into Banquets with supervising and establishing the finest food preparation possible from the kitchen. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must possess excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment. Promotes superior guest service.

Minimum Qualifications

Four years’ culinary experience in a high volume themed banquet setting. Two years of culinary school plus two years of experience may be substituted for four years of culinary experience. Must possess basic knife skills and the knowledge of safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English. Must be able to stand during entire shift and have the ability to lift up to forty pounds. Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
