Waterfront Operations & Guest Experience Associate
Role Overview:
Join our team for the summer! We are seeking a versatile, high-energy individual to handle a wide range of responsibilities, including deckhand duties, eco-tours, digital marketing, and sales. As a Waterfront Operations & Guest Experience Associate, you are the face of our brand. You will be responsible for ensuring guest safety on the water, driving sales at the box office, and capturing the "vibe" of our business for social media.
Key Responsibilities Vessel & Tour Operations: Act as First Mate: Assist with cleaning, docking, and securing lines * Ensure safe embarkation and disembarkation for all guests. * Lead Kayak & Paddle Board Ecotours through the back bay, sharing local facts and ecology. * Set the mood on board: Act as the "Boat DJ," take photos for guests, and provide engaging commentary.
Sales & Box Office: Master the product catalog to drive ticket and merchandise sales * Manage transactions using computer and mobile POS systems * Provide top-tier customer service over the phone and in person Brand Promotion & Content Creation: Represent the brand at farmers' markets and community block parties * Capture daily content (photos/videos) and use Canva and CapCut to create high-quality Reels and social posts
Position Requirements: To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs (moving kayaks, gear, and merchandise) and remain active on your feet for long shifts.
Availability: This is a summer tourism position. You must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Boating Knowledge: Prior boating experience or a Boating Safety Certificate is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Canva and CapCut is required. Comfort using mobile POS systems and social media platforms (Instagram/TikTok) is essential
Soft Skills: Strong public speaking skills, a "safety-first" mindset, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Swimming Ability: Must be comfortable and confident in and around the water
Bonus Points If You... * Have a passion for local history or marine biology * Have a "hospitality first" mindset (youre the person who always makes sure everyone is having a good time) * Are a pro at capturing "the shot" for the grid
$15.92 + tips Must be 18+ Full time and part time positions 12-8pm June - August 8 offf/32 in season
