PURPOSE OF POSITION: To open and close store. Manage and operate a Goodwill Retail store while fulfilling Goodwill\'s mission statement.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: District Manager, Store Manager & Asst. Store Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises workers in various personnel groups engaged in operating a retail store.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals. Demonstrate a positive, role model. Display commitment and involvement towards Goodwill\'s mission.

JOB COMPETENCIES:Serves as hiring manager in the Manager and/or Assistant Managers absence and will complete employee work schedules, evaluations and ADP as needed. Will handle customer complaints. Oversees store operation including inventory, warehouse and stock rotation per manager. Per manager, performs all administrative and clerical details associated with store operation and orders supplies as needed. Provides supervision for all sales associates, trains employees and follows cash handling procedures on a daily basis.
As a member of the management staff, sets an example for his or her workers. Personal conduct must reflect the high standards of integrity expected of all Goodwill staff personnel. Is expected to exercise good judgement in handling the wide variety of day-to-day operational problems which arise continuously in store operation. Must be thoroughly familiar and continually stress the Goodwill sales philosophy. Performs those duties which are part of every day supervisory job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must complete employees work schedules. They must complete employee evaluations as needed. They also counsel, hire, fire, and train employees, only when manager and assistant manager are not available.
Supervises the sales force and Sales Floor. Sells merchandise as time permits. Attends to and satisfies customers needs. Handles cus omer complaints in a fair and impartial manner, coordinating as necessary. Promotes special events.
Receives and checks incoming stock and supervises checkouts and stock transfers. Checks condition and placement of stock in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. Suggests and maintains displays and advertising ideas and prepares and places signs in sales areas and Windows\'s solely responsible for wares dept. being clean, stocked and rotated on a daily basis. Must make sure merchandise is being marked to Goodwill Standards from the processing warehouse area.
Trains and supervises store personnel and maintains projected sales goals.
Represents Goodwill in the area served, striving to enhance the Goodwill image through individual and group participation. May supervise solicitors and pick-up orders, including routing as authorized.
