Sodexo is seeking an Outpatient Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team atPIH Health Hospital Whittier,a 523-bed facility located in Whittier, CA. This position scheduled full timeand located only 12 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The outpatient Nutrition and Wellness Center provides education to patients as part of an ADA accredited Diabetes Education program as well as education on other various nutrition related diseases. The Nutrition and Wellness Center bills for services rendered through PIH Health Whittier Hospital billing department.

What You'll Do
Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to a diverse outpatient population
Provide nutrition support and critical care with this population outpatient
Have Responsibility for outpatient nutrition support care plans, orders and engagement with nutrition support interdisciplinary team
Provide education to patients, as well as staff and work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff

What You Bring
A registered Dietitian credential with 1or more years’ experience in an acute care or outpatient setting
The ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
Have Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
Bilingual language skills to converse in Spanish would be helpful
Strong time management and organizational skills are needed to be successful in this position

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
