ILLUMINATION FOUNDATION Driver in Whitter, California

Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children’s and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Role
The driver is responsible for transporting clients to and from destinations and ensuring clients have all necessary paperwork/documents needed for appointments. The driver will use a company vehicle to perform job-related duties.
The pay for this position is $21.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for $1.00 swing shift differential and $2.00 graveyard shift differential. The schedule for this role is Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00PM to 11:30PM.
Responsibilities
The driver's responsibility is to review all transport for the following day via email or print out created by the transportation staff.
Coordinate and manage time to ensure all clients arrive at their scheduled destination in a timely manner
Confirm with client in advance transportation times
Coordinate with medical any unexpected client transportation request
Inspect company vehicle prior to transporting clients to ensure the vehicle has fuel, fluids, antifreeze and emergency kit
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure clients being transported will receive any missed meals
Prescribed medication should be secured by driver when dropping off or picking up clients
Driver must ensure and enforce no eating or drinking in vehicle, unless water only
Sign vehicles in and out in vehicle log binder
Driver has three minutes to scan QR code before or after starting the vehicle
Driver must gas up once vehicle is at half a take of gas
Notify transportation supervisor regarding any issues during transport, including client behavior.
Assist with site duties when down time (not driving) as specified by site manager and/or site supervisor

Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of client information and work-related information/materials.
Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year minimum of customer service/ relevant experience in driving
Valid CA Driver’s License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
Basic computer skills, including sending and receiving emails and summarizing data in spreadsheets.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
