Position: Driver / Vehicle Operator
As a Driver/Vehicle Operator, you'll be the face of People's Express, ensuring passengers get to their destinations safely, comfortably, and with a smile. You'll perform vehicle inspections, maintain accurate records, and provide top-notch customer service. Every day is a chance to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability & Professionalism
Be on time and ready to deliver excellent service for every shift.
Communicate clearly with supervisors about scheduling needs.
Represent People's Express with courtesy and professionalism.
Driving & Safety
Operate company vehicles safely, following all traffic and MDOT regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
Secure passengers and mobility devices properly, prioritizing safety.
Report vehicle issues or incidents immediately to supervisors.
Customer Service & Impact
Provide patient, respectful, and friendly service to all passengers, including older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Offer helpful information about services and routes.
Handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screening, MVR, background check, and DOT physical.
2+ years professional driving experience preferred.
1+ year customer service experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and assist passengers safely.
Flexible schedule availability.
