The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead – Step into a pivotal role shaping the future of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), cultural and natural heritage stewardship, and regulatory excellence with WSP.
As Vice President, Ecology, EIA & Heritage , you will guide a regional cohort of technical experts delivering projects that influence major infrastructure, environmental policy, energy transition, and sustainable development pathways. Your leadership will set new benchmarks for quality, collaboration, innovation, and meaningful community impact.
This role can be based out of any of our WSP offices across British Columbia & Yukon , offering flexibility and a welcoming environment wherever you call home.

Shape regional strategy for environmental assessment, permitting, & heritage services, positioning WSP as a leader in complex regulatory and environmental work.
Champion innovation by integrating modern digital tools, advanced assessment methods, Indigenous engagement frameworks, and nature‑based solutions into project delivery.
Develop and elevate senior environmental leaders, empowering them to guide high‑performing teams, strengthen strategic direction, and build a resilient leadership pipeline that ensures enduring excellence across WSP’s environmental practice.
Strengthen regional performance by driving operational efficiencies and applying strong business acumen to help teams pivot effectively in response to evolving market conditions, ensuring WSP remains competitive and future‑ready.
Ensure excellence in regulatory processes, leading teams in producing technically defensible, science‑based assessments that support successful outcomes for communities and clients.
Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, belonging, and ethical leadership that supports your people and enables them to bring their best to every project.

You have led senior‑level environmental teams , guiding directors and managers to deliver complex EIA and heritage programs with clarity, confidence, and strategic alignment.
You excel at shaping & elevating environmental practice areas, ensuring teams consistently deliver scientifically robust, defensible, high‑quality work.
You bring deep experience navigating environmental regulatory frameworks and can mobilize the right expertise to solve technical, regulatory, and stakeholder challenges.

Compensation
All Zones: Salary range for this position begins at $195,980.
