Hiring Industrial/Electrical Maintenance Mechanic -- White Oak/Longview Area

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial/Electrical Maintenance Mechanic with commercial electrician experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal production and safety standards. This role includes duties typical of a commercial electrician, such as installing and maintaining electrical systems in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance and Repairs

• Maintain and repair cranes, hoists, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Inspect and measure parts for wear and accuracy.
• Adjust and calibrate mechanical and control components.

Commercial Electrical Work

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local building codes.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures and maintain safety standards.

Inventory and Resource Management

• Monitor equipment and supply inventory.
• Order and verify parts and materials.
• Optimize resource usage for efficient maintenance operations.

Communication and Documentation

• Provide technical support and maintenance updates.
• Document maintenance activities and prepare reports.
• Communicate effectively across teams to ensure continuity.

Safety and Compliance

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Educate staff on preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

Professional Development and Teamwork

• Attend workshops and review technical publications.
• Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics.
• Ownership of basic tools and availability for overtime.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to quality.
