Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director, Administrative Team, and Board of Directors. This role is central to ensuring smooth operations across the agency and requires exceptional professionalism, communication skills, computer skills and discretion.
Position Overview
The Executive Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and coordination duties, including:
Required Qualifications:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director and leadership team
- Prepare, organize, and distribute Board of Directors meeting materials, including timely assembly of the Board agenda packet
- Record, prepare, and maintain accurate minutes for Board committees, leadership/administrative meetings, and agency-wide staff meetings
- Coordinate conference, training, and hotel registrations for staff and Board members
- Maintain and update the agency's internal website/intranet
- Maintain agency policy and procedure manual
- Maintain and promote agency social media sites
- Prepare and submit public notices for Board meetings in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for staff, Board members, and community partners
- Demonstrate strong judgment, confidentiality, and independent decision-making
Provide cross-coverage for other administrative functions as needed
Preferred Skills
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience preparing meeting minutes or supporting a Board of Directors
- Familiarity with the Open Meetings Act or similar regulatory requirements
Comfort working in a behavioral health or public-sector environment
Compensation
- Salary range: $37,223 -- $54,663, commensurate with experience.
