Support day-to-day transportation and administrative operations to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective, and on-time delivery of product across the network. Provide coordination, reporting, and financial support to transportation operations while delivering strong customer service.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, and third-party carriers to support load planning and on-time execution.
Serve as a primary point of contact for delivery-related inquiries, providing timely updates and issue resolution.
Provide dispatch coverage as required, responding to operational changes and communicating with internal teams and partners.
Monitor transportation performance, productivity, and KPIs; prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Build, maintain, and validate dashboards and performance reporting to support operational and service metrics.
Conduct data pulls, store follow-ups, and survey validation to ensure accurate reporting and closure of action items.
Review, validate, and dispute carrier invoices to ensure alignment with contracted rates, accessorial charges, and proof-of-service.
Validate trip and service details using telematics and visibility tools (e.g., timestamps, mileage, geofence events).
Code invoices for payment, applying correct GL, cost centre, and account coding in accordance with finance policies.
Prepare, post, and maintain accruals; review variances to ensure expenses are recorded in the correct period.
Manage split load data entry and reporting to ensure accurate allocation and system integrity.
Support final-mile transportation activities, including yard coordination and scheduled backhaul receipt.
Liaise with third-party transportation partners to support compliance with maintenance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure health, safety, food safety, and company standards are followed at all times.
Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, cost control, and safety.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you have to offer:
Key Business Functions, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Manage Third Party (Brokers) to ensure company standard requirements and policies are being adhered to
Coordinate third party maintenance for the Sobeys Fleet
Coordinate third party truck washing services
Responsible for analyzing transportation rates/contracts for third party maintenance
Follow preventative maintenance schedule on equipment
Troubleshoot with drivers on equipment problems
Assist in ordering parts as needed
Check and inspect equipment for repairs
Conduct annual commercial vehicle inspections on all equipment
Other duties as assigned
Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
Job Requirements
Strong organizational skills
Excellent time management skills
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good working knowledge of trailer repair methods
Must exhibit methodical work habits
Must be contentious and able to attain all pre-set work deadlines
Educational and Working Experience:
Certified journeyman mechanic
Two or more years related experience
Previous truck and trailer repair experience
Working Conditions
RSC environment
May be required to lift up to 88 lbs
Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
Various shifts including evenings and weekends
