Job Summary:
The Sr. Specialist of Referrals and Groups reports to the Sr. Manager of Business Development. They will play a pivotal role in driving traffic, engagement, and sales within key geographic regions for Vail Resorts retail and rental (VRR) operations and online eCommerce platforms. This position is focused on identifying, developing, and managing strategic business development opportunities between VRR and various stakeholders, such as sales teams, hospitality partners (both owned and third-party), resort and community affiliates, and other Vail Resorts lines of business. The primary objective is to drive both walk-in and online reservations, boosting sales and enhancing guest experiences. They will also provide support for the coordination of Group rental business in their region including group setup processes, liaise between store ops and the sales team, reservation follow-up and general support. The Sr. Specialist is instrumental in building meaningful connections through effective relationship management, strategic marketing initiatives, and targeted, personalized outreach.

Job Responsibilities:
In-resort Sales, Marketing & Referrals:
Forge and strengthen sales-oriented partnerships with regional lodging entities to drive retail and rental referral growth
Strategically manage relationships to outperform competitors by driving guest traffic for walk-in and close-in reservations (online reservations) from in-resort guests
Lead the development of new initiatives in collaboration with leadership to drive incremental sales
Execute a schedule of strategic visits to optimize partner engagement, and performance
Design and implement seasonal strategies, including sales targets, budget management, media planning, strategic promotions, and participation in local events
Advise and support promotional efforts with a focus on market-specific needs.
Coordinate with marketing & creative teams on the creation of collateral, promotional materials, and other divisional projects.
Drive employee engagement though and informed, polished referral program.
Group Sales Operations:
Liaise with Sales and Store Operations to ensure seamless execution of group business
Support in ensuring the highest level of Group business service levels from contracting to billing
Groups and In-Resort Partner Referrals:
Ensure accurate regional sales reporting and commission structures for both group and referral channels, while resolving issues related to member complaints, order inaccuracies, and system errors
Monitor competitive landscape and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement
Organize and execute partner & group appreciation events to reinforce and celebrate successful partnerships
Create and manage pricing spreadsheets and marketing collateral for both group and in-resort partners
Manage, enhance and grow employee referral programs through education and engagement.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing and/or sales
Experience with Word Suite, Excel skills required
Strong communicator that is able to provide and receive feedback
Must be a team player
Strong stakeholder management skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize changing objectives
High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
