Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe Litigation, Investigations, and Enforcement Associate - White Collar in Wheeling, West Virginia
Overview
We are seeking an associate with two to four years of experience to join our Litigation and White-Collar practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including litigation (criminal and civil), internal investigations, congressional investigations, regulatory enforcement and corporate compliance matters across the Strategic Advisory and Government Enforcement Business Unit.
Candidates should have prior experience at a law firm with demonstrated interest and experience in the above-mentioned areas. Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation for witness interviews, client depositions and witness testimony.
- Assist with responding to document requests, discovery requests, and other document collection, review and management projects.
- Consider strategic case issues and work with the team to prepare needed analysis, summaries, or other written materials.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Draft and respond to discovery and dispositive motions, jury instructions, and other potential motions.
- Assist with corporate compliance projects and due diligence.
Regularly interact with clients, co-counsel and opposing counsel. Qualifications
2-4 years' experience in Litigation and White Collar, including internal investigations, civil and criminal litigation and enforcement.
- Outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Quick learner with demonstrated ability to work across lanes and juggle multiple assignments.
- Reliable, responsive, and proactive work style; able to operate independently while contributing to highly collaborative team.
- Flexible team player; adept at working under the direction of partners as well as independently.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with sophisticated clients.
- Understanding of the business of law.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced, and high-performing team.
- Membership in the State Bar of the office where you wish to be based (or ability to become admitted promptly). Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $310,000.
