Job Title: Tool Room Supervisor
Job Description
Oversee all activities related to the design, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. Lead a team of skilled tool and die makers and machinists to ensure production efficiency, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met.
Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of tool and die makers and other related staff, coordinating daily workloads and prioritizing tasks to meet production deadlines.
Ensure proper design, construction, modification, and repair of tooling, including troubleshooting complex die and tooling issues.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality control to address issues, implement process improvements, and support the development of new products.
Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and quality standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
Manage inventory of spare parts, order necessary supplies, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and machinery.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
Essential Skills
5 years of experience performing tool and die maintenance and repair or manual machining.
Experience performing die maintenance and repair utilizing blueprints.
Proficiency in tool and die making, blueprint interpretation, die repair, and manual machining.
Ability to supervise and train a team effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Related supervisory experience is a plus.
Flexibility to work Saturdays, especially during busy seasons (5.5 hours from April-November).

Work Environment
The work environment is a loud manufacturing setting. The facility operates on a first shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a requirement for some Saturday work. The company employs around 900 people.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
