Job Summary
We are seeking a detail oriented Grinder Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wheeling, IL. This role involves operating grinding equipment to finish medical needles in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. Candidates will be responsible for precise assembly, inspection, and documentation using touch screen systems. This position requires focus, consistency, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.
Job Responsibilities
Wear required protective equipment including gown, gloves, closed toed shoes, and safety glasses while working in the cleanroom.
Load blunt end needles into fixtures by aligning indicators correctly before processing.
Operate grinding machines to grind needles into finished points.
Polish needles using alcohol to smooth rough edges and surfaces.
Perform visual inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
Complete job documentation by scanning badge and entering production data into a touch screen kiosk upon completion.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Operating or machine experience with at least six months of hands on work
Ability to read and write in English
Strong attention to detail and inspection skills
Comfort working in a cleanroom or production line setting
Experience with assembly equipment and basic machine controls

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
