Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Job Description

Responsibilities
Operate multiple CNC machines in a team-based environment.
Perform general and daily maintenance on machines to ensure production efficiency.
Ensure the quality of parts through regular inspection during production.
Follow all company safety guidelines.
Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing.
Inspect parts using visual and manual equipment such as calipers and micrometers, and trained on programmed CMM equipment.
Make offsets and change tooling per provided layout with training.
Communicate with team members and management regarding job status and part quality.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of experience in operating CNC machines or non-CNC machine operating experience with micrometers, calipers, and blueprints.
Ability to perform documentation of machining.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNC setup experience with mills and lathes.
Mechanically inclined with experience in deburring and grinding.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
