Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable global animal health diagnostics organization known for advancing veterinary diagnostic testing and laboratory innovation.

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician I to join a high-throughput diagnostic laboratory environment supporting animal health testing and clinical laboratory operations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Night Shift)

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Location: Wheat Ridge, CO

Duration : 6 months to start with the possibility for extension and more

In this role, you will support diagnostic testing by preparing biological specimens, operating laboratory instrumentation, and maintaining accurate laboratory records. You will work closely with veterinarians, laboratory scientists, and technical staff to ensure the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and laboratory quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare biological specimens for diagnostic testing across multiple departments including hematology, urinalysis, serology, chemistry, endocrinology, parasitology, cytology, and coagulation.

• Operate high-throughput automated analyzers, microscopes, and laboratory instrumentation to analyze sample types such as whole blood, serum, urine, and feces.

• Set up and perform routine laboratory tests while reviewing results in accordance with established laboratory procedures.

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on laboratory analyzers including daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance.

• Troubleshoot basic analyzer issues within designated laboratory departments.

• Review daily Quality Control reports and weekly Levey-Jennings charts to ensure testing accuracy and reliability.

• Properly handle, store, and track biological specimens according to laboratory standard operating procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.

• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposal of biohazardous and medical waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

• Maintain laboratory documentation including maintenance logs, environmental logs, and cleaning records.

• Manage documentation related to specimen tracking, courier logs, and laboratory records.

• Prepare specimens for shipment to external laboratories in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

• Receive, inventory, and store laboratory supplies and materials.

• Operate secondary laboratory equipment including centrifuges, pipettes, heating blocks, and slide stainers.

• Adhere to laboratory training requirements and standard operating procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environment preferred.

• Familiarity with laboratory testing areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, or parasitology is highly desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling biological samples and laboratory data.

• Comfortable working in a high-volume laboratory environment with automated instrumentation.

• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining adherence to laboratory protocols.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
