Description
We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Wetumpka area to find a Buyer who will play a key role in supporting supply chain and procurement operations. This position reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cost control, supplier strategy, and overall operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies to support daily production
Analyze MRP and generate purchase orders to meet production demand
Partner with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements
Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and lead root cause analysis and resolution
Track and report key metrics to drive cost savings and improve performance
Maintain and optimize ERP data, including parts, bills of materials, and supplier records
Support forecasting, commodity tracking, and market trend analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally on new product launches and ongoing product changes
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of procurement processes, MRP, and ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
Experience with bills of materials and inventory traceability is a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
