Job Title: Application Development Specialist
Job Description
The role involves supporting product development, electronic materials application, and chemistry applications. You will help run testing, coating formulation, epoxy testing, battery power, and serve as a technical expert for coating materials, including silicone, acrylic, and urethane. The position also requires developing R&D processes, troubleshooting issues related to adhesion, defects, and reliability performance, assisting in proof of concept, and customer calls and demos, as well as designing and executing application experiments.
Responsibilities
Support product and electronic materials application development.
Assist in testing, coating formulation, and epoxy testing.
Serve as a technical expert for coating materials such as silicone, acrylic, and urethane.
Develop R&D and process development; troubleshoot adhesion, defect, and reliability performance issues.
Assist in proof of concept development and participate in customer calls and demonstrations.
Design and execute application experiments.
Essential Skills
Expertise in epoxy, chemistry, and coating materials.
Knowledge of acrylics, UV curable materials, silicone, and process development.
Experience with product development processes.
Understanding of material science and chemical engineering.
5-10 years of experience in chemistry, material science, or chemical engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, material science, or chemical engineering.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Goal-oriented mindset.
Work Environment
The role is based on a team of 15-20 people within the R&D team. This position is 100% onsite, operating Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The role requires 25% travel, primarily within North America.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Westwood, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
They provide health, dental vision, 401k and holiday and vacation benefits as well.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Westwood,MA.
