Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: Support the accounting and financial reporting teams by assisting with month‑end close activities, financial analyses, and process documentation while gaining hands‑on experience across core accounting functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and complete account reconciliations across various general ledger accounts.

  • Record journal entries, including recurring, adjusting, and consolidation entries.

  • Support the month end close cycle and gain hands on experience with accounting operational workflows.

  • Assist with tie outs of financial statements and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for financial statement footnote disclosures.

  • Perform balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis to identify drivers behind period over period changes.

  • Run reports and general ledger detail queries to support accounting and financial reporting teams.

  • Extract and query financial data from ERP/reporting systems for journal entry creation and ad hoc requests

  • Participate in efficiency and automation initiatives, including the utilization of Power BI or Alteryx.

  • Collaborate with cross departmental team members to resolve Finance Operations questions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Highly motivated and eager to learn in a fast paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables/XLOOKUP’s.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data for accuracy and consistency.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and independent judgment when making decisions.
