The Quality Engineer serves as a vital link between quality architecture and production reality, translating our evolving Quality Management System (QMS) into practical, daily improvements on the shop floor. This role involves coaching operators, solving real-time problems, and ensuring quality becomes an integral part of our workflow rather than a final checkpoint. As we transition from a traditional fabricator to an engineered solutions provider, the Quality Engineer will help production teams see quality as an ally in delivering exceptional products on time. By applying both technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving, the role drives behavioral change that transforms quality into a competitive advantage across our data centers, industrial power, and defense sectors.
Responsibilities
Translate Quality Management System (QMS) requirements into practical improvements on the shop floor.
Coach operators and solve real-time quality issues.
Ensure quality is embedded in daily operations rather than an after-the-fact check.
Drive behavioral change to turn quality into a competitive advantage.
Help production teams view quality as a beneficial ally in product delivery.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field, or equivalent technical training and manufacturing experience.
3+ years of hands-on quality experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal fabrication and welding.
Experience with inspection tools, measurement equipment, and technical drawings/specifications.
Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and their application to daily operations.
Success in deploying root cause analysis tools and statistical process control.
Experience in training and coaching production personnel in quality practices.
Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements into practical applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ASQ certification such as Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus but not required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
