System One Electro-Mechanical Technician in Westminster, Maryland
Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Location: Westminster, MD
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $22 - $30 hourly

Hours: 1st Shift
The Electro-Mechanical Technician conducts pre-build inspections of components and performs a variety of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build HVAC units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure compliance with company's rules and policies.
Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
Maintain and safeguard business records.

Conduct pre-build inspections of components, noting any pre-existing, handling-damage, prior to beginning the build process.
Utilizing approved manufacturing work instructions, use hand, pneumatic, and power tools to assemble components, according to drawing specifications, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices. Assembly processes, performed in an assembly line area, include:
• Installation of sub-assemblies and other components
• Installing gaskets and sealants
• Running wiring
• Fixing components and hardware installation
• Building of wiring harnesses per work instruction and/or schematics
• Installation and assembly of unit electrical assemblies and other components
Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects noted during the build process.
Monitor the shelf life of any consumables used to complete the build process. Follow all established disposal methods associated with consumable material.
Perform serialization of parts in SAP, our enterprise resource planning system, as pertaining to work orders.
Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
