Job Overview
We are seeking a customer‑focused Back‑Up Care Customer Service Representative to support a fast‑paced contact center environment. In this role, you will assist working professionals who need urgent short‑term childcare solutions, allowing them to continue their workday without disruption.
This position is ideal for individuals who are empathetic, adaptable, and eager to grow within a customer service organization known for strong training, internal mobility, and long‑term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls from employees seeking backup childcare solutions
Provide timely, empathetic support while identifying the caller’s needs
Coordinate childcare solutions by working with internal networks and service providers
Accurately document all interactions and outcomes in a CRM system
Navigate multiple systems simultaneously using dual monitors
Maintain professionalism while supporting callers who may be stressed or time‑sensitive
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, help desk, or call center environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accurately document call details while engaging with callers
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Typing speed of 35 WPM or higher (preferred)
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, copy/paste, data entry)
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Comfortable determining customer needs without following a scripted process
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
Exposure to higher education (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
Previous experience supporting customers during high‑volume or peak seasons
Work Environment & Schedule
100% on‑site role in a newly opened office
Nationwide customer base within the United States
Collaborative call center environment with multiple systems and tools
Monday–Friday schedules with possible weekend shifts
No overnight shifts
Shifts typically fall within early morning to evening hours
Flexibility to take breaks and lunch within scheduling guidelines
Note: After 90 days, high‑performing employees may be eligible for work‑from‑home opportunities (not guaranteed).
Training
Paid, on‑site training in a classroom environment
2 weeks of classroom training + 2 weeks of nesting (4 weeks total)
Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Attendance during training is mandatory
Performance Expectations
Average of 25–50 calls per day (varies by season)
Measured on call handle time, quality assurance scores, and schedule adherence
Peak seasons include summer, winter breaks, and spring break

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
