Description:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join an agile product team responsible for building and enhancing modern, scalable applications. This is a hands-on engineering role with a 50/50 split between backend Java services and Angular-based front-end development .

You will work closely with product owners, squad leadership, UX, and fellow engineers to design, build, deploy, and support high-quality solutions that support critical business initiatives. In addition to technical delivery, this role plays a key part in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architectural and engineering best practices.

Please note: Candidates must be local to Westlake, TX , as both interview rounds and the role itself is 50% hybrid on site .

Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based RESTful middle-tier services using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud

  • Build and enhance Angular (TypeScript) user interfaces

  • Define and implement application-level architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Deploy applications to cloud environments ( AWS or Azure )

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines , automated builds, and deployments (e.g., Jenkins)

  • Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team on backlog refinement, story execution, and sprint ceremonies

  • Participate in production support , troubleshooting, and application performance tuning

  • Ensure QA readiness , including unit testing and test automation practices

  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud

  • Angular and TypeScript

  • RESTful service design

  • CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools

  • Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)

  • SQL and relational databases

  • Source control and pull request workflows (GitHub or similar)

  • Experience leading or contributing to architecture and design decisions

  • Experience working across multiple teams and mentoring engineers

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks

  • Apache Camel experience is a plus but not required

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience

  • AWS certification (preferred).
