ND job order 923758 Temporary seasonal position from 3/1/2026 to 12/31/2026 Job duties include but are not limited to: Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels or pitchforks. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines and to discard diseased or rotten products. Position boxes or attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, moving and closing full containers. Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment Drive and operate self propelled combine. Crops: Corn, Soy Beans, Spring Wheat Minimum of two months verifiable experience. Workers must be able to obtain their driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs. Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in his sole discretion. No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles. Work on the farm involves operating tools, equipment and machinery as well as driving vehicles -- driving and operating these equipment and vehicles under the influence of drugs/alcohol may cause serious and fatal accidents. Any drug testing will be post-hire and at the expense of the employer. Positive testing will result in termination of employment. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment. All tools are provided by the employer. Worker must possess documentation required to enable employer to comply with the employment verification requirements of IRCA. Accurate completion of Form I-9 will be required of each worker within three (3) days of employment pursuant to U.S Law. Employer will abide by the requirements and assurances of 20 CFR 653.501 in the processing and/or hiring of individuals referred through the clearance system.
