Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Management Manager partners closely with the internal sales teams to support customer engagements and drive strategic account development through direct customer exposure and acting as a key point of contact for complex opportunities. Responsibilities include providing advanced technical support, influencing consultants, and managing customer-specific engineered-to-order projects while addressing market, product, and customer dynamics.
The position supports new business growth by contributing to go-to-market strategies for new offers, businesses, and regions, while also handling tendering and customer design engagements for non-released or less-mature offers. Operational duties include managing backlog, ensuring purchase order compliance prior to execution, overseeing customer change orders, preparing quotes for new offerings, and supporting demand planning activities such as SIOP, forecasting, and funnel management to align customer strategy with business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Partnership
Partner closely with Sales at key customer accounts to drive growth and strengthen long-term relationships.
Serve as Strategic Account Point of Contact (PoC) for technical and commercial matters.
Maintain strong customer exposure and engagement.
Influence consultants and decision-makers through technical credibility and strategic insight.
Develop and execute customer-specific strategies aligned with business objectives.
Technical & Commercial Leadership
Provide advanced technical support for complex opportunities and active projects.
Lead new offer quotation activities (post Gate 3), ensuring alignment with scope, margin, and risk requirements.
Support tendering activities and CDE (Customer Dedicated Engineering) for:
Non-released offers
Non-robust or customized solutions
Oversee Customer Specific Projects (Engineer-to-Order / ETOc environments).
Ensure Purchase Order compliance prior to execution.
Customer & Market Intelligence
Analyze and anticipate:
Market dynamics (1-year outlook)
Customer dynamics (1-year outlook)
Product dynamics (1-year outlook)
Translate insights into backlog growth strategies and business expansion opportunities.
Contribute to GTM strategy for:
New offers
New business models
New geographic zones
Operational & Execution Excellence
Manage customer change orders and contractual modifications.
Own backlog visibility and performance.
Lead SIOP participation (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning).
Drive accurate forecasting, funnel management, and demand planning.
Ensure cross-functional alignment between Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
Strong technical background with experience in chiller products or engineered solutions environments.
