Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator II to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Westerville, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. You will also play a key part in addressing payroll-related inquiries, managing data integrity, and supporting cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Process employee timesheets and payroll data accurately while adhering to company policies.
• Verify and input payroll information with precision to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Calculate special payroll deductions, including garnishments and other required withholdings.
• Provide backup support and assistance within the payroll department to maintain seamless operations.
• Develop expertise in payroll systems, including timekeeping platforms, to enhance efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve payroll-related issues, offering clear communication and solutions to employees.
• Review payroll reports and data to ensure accuracy and proper alignment with financial statements.
• Assist in educating employees about payroll policies and procedures to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with General Accounting and Human Resources teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and alignment with financial records.
• Prepare and organize payroll data for year-end reporting and financial inclusion.
Requirements • Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience, including at least 3 years working with Oracle HCM or other major payroll systems.
• Proficiency in Kronos Timekeeping and other timekeeping software is required.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, including garnishments, deductions, and compliance standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to address employee concerns effectively.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information.
• Ability to analyze payroll data and ensure its accuracy in financial reporting.
• Certification in payroll or payroll systems is preferred but not required.
