Dock Assembler/Shipping Clerk $19.50/hr
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Dock Assembler/Shipping Clerk, contributing to the efficient operations of a busy facility. This role involves receiving shipments and preparing them for production, working within a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Receive shipments of foam and wood products.
Match incoming orders for production.
Work collaboratively with a team of 4-5 people to unload trucks.
Prepare packages for assembly by cutting wood and foam to specifications.
Engage in repetitive tasks and maintain focus on completing as many pieces as possible.
Communicate effectively with teammates throughout the process.
Essential Skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to use air-powered staple guns and utility knives.
Willingness to learn and be trained.
Stable work history.
Comfortable working on a small team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Carpentry or upholstery experience.
Prior foam manufacturing experience.
Experience with vinyl material or production.
Industrial sewing skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Material handling experience.

Work Environment
The facility houses 70 employees across departments like Sewing, Assembly, Shipping, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering. It’s a climate-controlled environment with a casual dress code, providing a clean and spacious work area. The dock department is active, requiring physical tasks such as unloading trucks. Shift hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with voluntary overtime available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
